SAN ANTONIO – Ma Harper, known for her gumbo and other Creole dishes on the menu at Ma Harper’s Creole Kitchen, is known for giving back to the community. But this Friday, a one-day Creole-Asian cuisine collaboration will be held to give back to her.
A pop-up event is scheduled for 5 p.m.-9 p.m. or until the food sells out at Ma’s Harper’s restaurant at 1816 N. New Braunfels Avenue off I-35, just outside the gates of Fort Sam Houston, according to Pinch Boil House’s Facebook page.
Ma Harper, who celebrated her 95th birthday this year, told KSAT’s Katrina Webber she has no plans to slow down.
