YourTV: NC named top research college in the country [Video]

NC’s Vice-President of Research, Innovation and Strategic Enterprises, Dr. Marc Nantel, joined YourTV to discuss the College recently being named the top research college in the country.

During the interview, Dr. Nantel recapped the recent news and explained the role that research plays at Niagara College.

“It’s working with companies and community partners to realize their dreams or deal with some of the problems they have,” said Nantel. [This can involve developing] a new product, a new process or service to market and commercialize, or they have something that’s not going so well, and they need our expertise, our equipment, our students, and faculty to help them out with it. So, this is more like very applied research and at the end of the day, it’s about economic development. We want the companies to be successful, we want them to adopt new things, and to hire graduates.”
