Colleton Co. deputies clear the area near elementary school [Video]

COLLETON COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) – The Colleton County Sheriff’s Office has given the all clear following its increased presence near an elementary school.

Just before 7 a.m., deputies said they would be in the area of Cleveland and Smith Streets Monday.

They said they assisted the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division and Colleton County Animal Control as they carried out a search warrant at a nearby home.

It was not made clear what the purpose of this warrant was.

Officials confirmed there is no threat or danger to the community or nearby Black Street Elementary School.
