SIOUX CITY — Everybody is invited to Sunnybrook Community Church’s “Christmas at the Orpheum,” which will take place at 10 a.m. Dec. 22, as well as at 4 and 6 p.m., on both Dec. 23 and 24 at Sioux City’s historic Orpheum Theatre, 528 Pierce St.
“You don’t have to be a member of Sunnybrook or, even, a regular church-goer,” explained Blake Meacham, engagement director for the 5601 Sunnybrook Drive church. “We believe that anybody should have the opportunity to celebrate the birth of Jesus.”
That is a big part of Sunnybrook’s philosophy, he said.
“We know some people find church boring or intimidating or they may simply be indifferent to it,” Meacham added. “If you come with an open mind, you might leave with a new perspective.”
“Christmas at the Orpheum” will begin with hymns that most people will be familiar with, before segueing its way towards original music.
