LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — St. Vincent de Paul is helping spread cheer to families in need this holiday season with the 28th annual Santa Shop.
The local nonprofit set up a mini-mall filled with donated fits at its Shelby Park campus on Sunday. Parents and guardians could sign up ahead of time to shop for brand new items like clothing, toys, books, games and stocking stuffers.
Volunteers also helped set up a gift wrapping table. This year’s event benefitted 400 families and more than a thousand children and teenagers.
“It’s incredible and mostly it’s just the privilege of getting the community to come together and want to make this time of year special for everyone,” said Jennifer Clark, president of St. Vincent de Paul Louisville.
