Check in with HSOP involving 146 dogs rescued in October [Video]

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) – The Humane Society of Parkersburg (HSOP) now still needs 4 dogs to be adopted to finally get all 146 dogs a new home before Christmas.

According to Samantha Tannous, the shelter manager at HSOP, the support from the community has been overflowing.

“We have received tons of support from the Community, which has just been so awesome,” Tannous said. “The donations have been so much appreciated. We’ve gotten lots adopted. We’ve sent several out of state to rescue, but we have gotten a lot adopted here in the shelter and now we’re just hoping to get these last guys in a home, hopefully for the holidays.”

Tannous added that the shelter has plenty of food for the dogs that were rescued and even enough for the rest of the shelter.
