Peel police have arrested and charged four people, one of whom is a youth, for allegedly possessing an illegal firearm in Mississauga.
On Wednesday at around 9 p.m., officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle around Forestwood Drive and Erindale Station Road in Mississauga.
According to the police, a Cannabis Act investigation led to the “discovery of a loaded illegal firearm, an imitation firearm as well as a quantity of drugs packaged for sale.”
Police have laid a total of 38 charges, including possession for the purpose of trafficking.
In a press release, police identified the three adult suspects as Douglas-Hodgson, Peter Jesiotr, Ethan Bell, who are all residents of Mississauga. The youth cannot be named under the provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Deputy Chief Marc Andrews said in the release that the two of the four suspects are repeat offenders who have a “blatant disregard for their conditions.”
