DMPD investigating incident, woman stabbed in ‘family domestic situation’ [Video]

DES MOINES, Iowa — An adult female victim was transported to the hospital after she was stabbed Thursday night in what the Des Moines Police Department said appears to be a ‘family domestic situation.’

DMPD said shortly after 8:30 p.m. Thursday that it is investigating the stabbing at the 4100 block of 10th Street in Des Moines.

Preliminary information points towards a ‘family domestic situation’ DMPD said in a social media post, and that a suspect is in custody.

Officials said there is no ongoing threat to the neighborhood.
