The professional hockey team announced the couple from the popular HGTV series will be part of the team’s ownership.
STATELINE, Nev. — Chip and Joanna Gaines, hosts of the popular HGTV series “Fixer Upper,” are expanding their influence into the sports world.
The Tahoe Knight Monsters, a professional minor league hockey team, announced Wednesday the couple has joined its ownership group.
The Knight Monsters are based in Stateline, Nevada, and are co-owned by former Heisman Trophy winner and former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow. The 2007 Heisman winner expressed enthusiasm about the couple’s involvement in a press release.
“We are excited to have Chip and Jo join our ownership group,” Tebow said. “It is obvious they share our passion for giving back to the community and have a love of sports. We are blessed with an amazing group of partners, and Chip and Jo will certainly enhance this group.”
