North Alabama domestic violence advocate warns about holiday flare-ups | News [Video]

For most, the holidays spark cheer and joy among families, but for some, it can bring heartbreak. Domestic violence advocates say this is the time of year where it can tear families apart.

Crisis Services of North Alabama says whether someone is deciding to leave an abusive relationship, or they need help healing from one, there are resources available. The Domestic Violence and Community Outreach Service director says the best thing a person who is struggling can do for themselves is taking that first step and seeking help.
