Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church hosting youth hats & gloves giveaway and community soup feed [Video]

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) – A Sioux City church is on a mission to make sure kids stay warm this winter.

Mt. Zion Church is giving away 250 hats and gloves on Saturday, December 14 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. while supplies last.

Mt. Zion was a recipient of a MRHD grant and utilized the funds to offer free hats and gloves to children in the Siouxland community.

”It’s really important for us to embrace the community and really to show the children that we actually want to keep them warm,” said Donna Eye, the Outreach Ministry Lead for Mount Zion Baptist Church.

There is also a community feed during the giveaway. Soups of all kinds, cornbread muffins from Famous Dave’s. Wilbur, the mascot will even be there to say hi to the kids.
