Spokane C.O.P.S. continuing services temporarily after City Council vote [Video]

SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane C.O.P.S. (Community Oriented Policing Services) will continue its operations into 2025, thanks to bridge funding approved by the Spokane City Council. The decision ensures the organization can carry on its mission for at least the first three months of the year, while longer-term funding plans remain uncertain.

The City of Spokane has agreed to provide $125,000 in bridge funding to support the organization’s work from December 2024 through March 2025. During this time, C.O.P.S. and other organizations will have the opportunity to compete for future funding through a formal request for proposals (RFP) process.
