ASHWAUBENON, Wis. (WBAY) – Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport is unveiling three specially designed artificial evergreens Tuesday night for the 2024 holiday season.
The trees were designed with the help of two community organizations, along with local artist, Virginia Moua.
What’s the focus? “Celebrating Hmong Heritage”.
Moua was joined by ‘Empowered By Movement’ and ‘Ecumenical Partnership for Housing.’
Both organizations helped to design and decorate the vibrant holiday display.
This is the airport’s second annual tree-lighting ceremony.
Organizers say it’s a great way to welcome travelers this holiday season.
This event also allows these local organizations and individuals to share their culture, and history and be able to represent their impact on our region.
