Wyatt throws hat into ring for Buffalo’s mayoral race [Video]

Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) – Buffalo Common Councilman Rasheed Wyatt is the latest name to enter the race for Mayor of Buffalo.

The University District Councilman announced his candidacy on social media Monday morning, with a full campaign announcement set to come late Monday afternoon on Hertel Avenue.

“Thank you to the hundreds of people who urged me to run for this Office, and for your belief in me. I am humbled and honored,” said Wyatt on his Facebook page on Monday. “Now the process begins, and I need you to join me in restoring City Hall to the people. … Our city is in crisis, and it will take all of us. … Please join me for this important announcement, as we begin to create a vision that will restore the faith in our city government for ‘Real Change’!”
