FLINT, Mich. (WJRT) – New Standard Academy, a charter school in Flint, lost two students over the summer to gun violence.
So, on Saturday, community members, including pastors, ministers, intercessors, and other leaders, came together for a 12-hour prayer event for children.
From 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., people were at the school praying for salvation, protection, direction, identity, sound minds, community, school, family, church, and much more.
“It’s very much needed in the City of Flint alone it’s needed in the City of Burton and Grand Blanc and a lot of the crimes are not talked about as much as other places and cities besides the City of Flint, but we need to make a difference we need to show our kids there is another way,” said minister Kenyetta …
