O’FALLON, Ill. — A St. Louis area police officer, dear to their community, was unharmed after a Saturday morning hit-and-run crash involving their police vehicle, and the ‘suspect’ is still at large, a statement from the O’Fallon Police Department said.
O’Fallon Police Department used the unfortunate run-in with a deer to spread some holiday cheer in a post on social media.
The crash happened minutes before 8 a.m. when the O’Fallon, Illinois, police officer was driving east on Frank Scott Parkway East, near Hartman Lane.
According to the social media post, that’s when the ‘suspect’ struck the officer’s vehicle. The crash damaged the driver’s door, chattering the glass window and causing the airbags to deploy.
