Overnight fire destroys Waco family business, community rallies support [Video]

WACO, Texas — A fire has destroyed Buckeye Bingo, a beloved Waco establishment that has served the community for over 60 years. 

The Waco Fire Department declared the building a total loss after flames engulfed it Wednesday night.

One of the owners, Connie Goff, received the devastating call just hours after their final evening bingo session.

 “We had just finished the bingo session around 9:00 p.m., and everybody was gone, including the employees, around 9:30. About 30 minutes later, I got the call that the building was on fire,” Goff said.
