School shooting in Butte County: Leaders react to gun violence [Video]

BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. — Leaders in California are standing in solidarity with the communities of Oroville and Palermo after a school shooting in Butte County.

Butte County Sheriff Kory Honea said the shooting was reported around 1 p.m. Two students, ages 5 and 6, were shot and hospitalized. The suspected gunman died after shooting himself.

Leaders from the county level to the state level have spoken out to support the community as it reels from the violence.
