Fishers mayor announces next fire chief [Video]

FISHERS, Indiana — Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness on Tuesday announced the city’s next fire chief.

Battalion Chief Ky Ragsdale will serve as chief of the Fishers Fire and Emergency Services beginning Jan. 24, 2025. 

Ragsdale, a U.S. Navy veteran and third-generation firefighter, has been a Fishers resident since 2000 and with the FFES for more than two decades, the city said.

“Ky is a dedicated public safety professional who cares deeply about the Fishers community,” Fadness said in a statement. “The leadership Battalion Chief Ragsdale will bring to the department comes at an exciting time for the city, as the community continues to grow and evolve.
