RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. (WBKO) – This Friday, the streets of Russellville will come alive with holiday spirit as the city hosts its inaugural Christmas Parade and Hot Cocoa Crawl.
“So back in the summer, our ambassador group met and we were discussing different activities and things we would like to do in the holiday season,” said Polly Steenbergen, the executive director of the Logan County Chamber of Commerce. “The Hot Cocoa Crawl was born out of that meeting.”
The Russellville Christmas parade has been in the works for a couple of years and the Chamber looked at opportunities to build upon that event.
“We’re excited that this Friday will be kind of a first for a lot of things,” Steenbergen said. “We’ve never done either one of these events, and to do them both on the same day will be a very exciting time for Russellville.”
