A California man has been accused of trying to smuggle “meth-caked” clothes onto his flight at Los Angeles International Airport, authorities said in a press release.

Raj Matharu, 31, tried to fly from LAX to Sydney, Australia, on Nov. 6, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California.

Matharu checked two pieces of luggage, which were x-rayed by security officers who flagged “irregularities” and pulled them to the side for a secondary inspection, officials said.

“Law enforcement found the suitcases contained more than a dozen white or light-colored clothing items that were dried stiff and covered in a white residue,” the release states.

Officials claimed investigators field-tested a sample of the residue, which tested positive for methamphetamine. Authorities said the “meth-caked” clothes, including a cow pajama onesie, weighed about 71.5 lbs. and that authorities extracted more than one kg of methamphetamine residue from them.
