Online shoppers set Thanksgiving Day record [Video]

(CNN) – Retailers had a lot of reasons to be thankful this Thursday.

According to Adobe Analytics, holiday shoppers forked out a record-setting $6.1 billion on Thanksgiving Day.

That’s a nearly 9% increase compared to Thanksgiving 2023.

Among the popular items being purchased were toys and electronics.

Mobile shopping played a major factor with 60% of Thursday’s online sales being done by phone
