Project 2025: UAF professors issues warning, as Trump team names those with ties to administration [Video]

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTUU) – President-elect Donald Trump has recently named people to his incoming administration with direct ties to the Heritage Foundation’s policy agenda Project 2025, including soon-to-be Office of Management and Budget Director Russel T. Vought.

Now, a University of Alaska Fairbanks professor is warning that Project 2025, in her view, could lead to the loss of jobs, civil rights and could even shift education powers back to the states.

Carol Gray, UAF Professor of Public Law, referenced Project 2025, specifically the section stating federal education policy should be limited and, ultimately, the federal Department of Education should be eliminated. In one of Gray’s classes this week, she said this would directly impact roughly 4,400 Department of Education workers.

Project 2025 authors say some of those funds should be reallocated to states in no-strings-attached block grants.
