Red Lodge Mountain will open for the season Friday, Nov. 29th with some of the best snow conditions in recent years after receiving nearly two feet of natural snow in the past month. The 1,635-acre ski area has Montana’s second-largest snowmaking system, allowing it to be among one of the first ski areas to open in the state, Red Lodge Mountain officials said in a press release.
This weekend three lifts will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. including the Stache Express, Triple Chair, Willow Creek chair, and the Magic Carpet conveyor lift. Open runs will include six beginner runs including Turnpike, Otto-Bahn, Showoff Alley, Miami Beach, Ladies Aid, and the Learning Area.
