GRAMBLING, La. (KNOE) – Two Grambling State University students joined 23 other HBCU students as AT&T’s Rising Future Makers 2024 Class.
The students were awarded $5,000 and an iPad.
Senior Lea Hebert and Sophomore Keith Jackson are working to change their communities through this opportunity.
“Grambling does a very great job of showcasing student leaders on campus and students being involved in various opportunities. The impact that Jordan and Jamie had on this campus, I probably wouldn’t be here today in front of you,” said Jackson.
He is working on his company, P.O.C.C.M., highlighting other HBCU social media influencers.
However, Hebert is doing something a bit different by going into dentistry.
“Not just to become a dentist, and that’s it,“ said Hebert. ”I definitely want to use my income to contribute to the community and also to the education within my communities.”
Watch to find out more about what they are doing in their communities.
