Family holds candlelight vigil for West Chester 6-year-old Joshua Al-Lateef [Video]

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – At least 100 people came out to support Joshua Al-Lateef’s family at a candlelight vigil held outside the family’s apartment complex.

Love and candlelight surrounded the Lake Front Apartment Complex in West Chester as community members gathered to support Joshua Al-Lateef’s family.

“This is not a momentary healing, this is gonna be an everlasting lifetime healing, that she’s going to need, that they’re going to need to get though,” vigil attendee, Tamika Jackson, said.

Joshua was a 6-year-old boy with autism who went missing from his family’s apartment on Nov. 20.

Hundreds of public servants and community members searched for him for more than 24 hours.

On the night of Nov. 21, Joshua’s body was found by West Chester Police in a pond near his home.

Jessica Underwood was one of the many volunteers who went to search for Joshua.
