The ruling Mahayuti alliance is headed for a consecutive third term in Maharashtra with 234 seats, while the Maha Vikas Aghadi stands at 48 seats.

PM Narendra Modi has lauded the victory in Maharashtra. CM Eknath Shinde has thanked the people of the state. Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis has called it the “victory of the team” and Dy CM Ajit Pawar said, “I have not seen such a victory in my memory.”

The INDIA bloc in Jharkhand is leading with 56 seats whereas the BJP stands at 24. JMM’s Hemant Soren and Kalpana Soren have won from their respective constituencies and thanked the people for choosing the government, reported news agency ANI.
