SIOUX CITY — The City of Sioux City is updating the airport master plan for Sioux Gateway/Brigadier General Bud Day Field and will host its second and final workshop next month.
The open house workshop will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Dec. 5 in the Sioux Gateway Airport Terminal Building (first floor common area), 2403 Aviation Blvd.
The current airport master plan, last updated in 2001, is being reviewed and updated to accommodate future aviation growth. During the open house, attendees will be able to explore the completed elements of the master planning process, while moving freely around exhibit stations. No formal presentation will be given.
Exhibits will cover a wide range of topics, including:
• Aviation demand forecast: Understanding future trends and air traffic
projections
• Development needs & alternatives: Exploring strategies to address aviation
growth challenges
• Capital development program: Analyzing the implementation and funding of
future airport infrastructure improvements
