This ONE Dividend King Rules Them All

The Dividend Kings stocks are the one group you can count on for dividends with cash payments increasing for more than 50 years but there is one dividend king that rules them all. I’ll reveal the best Dividend Kings stocks and explain how the group is different from the Dividend Aristocrats. ✅ Dividends up to 8% and double-digit returns on rental properties. The Dividend Kings are any company that has not only paid a dividend but has increased it for more than 50 consecutive years. In fact, there are only 54 stocks that meet that criteria, a select few with the commitment to your cash return. Some of these dividend stocks have been paying a dividend for more than 100 years and have increased it for 68 straight years.

But how are the Dividend Kings different from the more popular Dividend Aristocrats and the ProShares S&P 500 Dividend Aristocrats ETF (NOBL)? The Dividend Aristocrats are those companies with 25-plus years of increasing the dividend payment so you’ll see some overlap in the two lists like 3M and Altria Group. The big difference though is that the Aristocrats, since it’s a copyright of Standard & Poor’s, it’s only those companies in the S&P 500 index. That means, there are companies in the Dividend Kings list that are not on the Aristocrats list like Canadian Utilities and ABM Industries.

If we’re talking about dividend security for a bullet-proof portfolio then I prefer the Dividend Kings. For stock price return, you might go with the Aristocrats since there’s some newer companies in that list or you could always pick the best stocks from both lists.
