For the second year in a row the College Station Noon Lions Club will open its Christmas tree lot the day before Thanksgiving. The club announced in a press release that the sale will begin Wednesday, Nov. 27 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The lot will be closed on Thanksgiving before reopening Friday, Nov. 29 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The lot will remain open in December as long as supplies last.
On Sunday, Dec. 1 from 2-5 p.m., the Lions Club will host a community event called “Trees of Hope: Making a Difference” at the tree lot and will include a photo booth, arts and crafts, food from local food trucks and a reading of “The Polar Express” by Judge Rick Hill. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be at the event for children and families to meet and have their pictures taken.
