Kabana Rooftop in downtown Richmond closing [Video]

Kabana Rooftop announced that it will be closing in January.

“After an 8-year journey, Kabana Rooftop will be closing its doors on January 1, 2025,” the restaurant posted to social media. “Since opening in 2016, we’ve been fortunate to share countless memories and unforgettable views with our amazing community…Thank you for being part of this experience-we couldn’t have done it without you!”

Kabana Rooftop is located at 700 E. Main St. on the top floor of the Homewood Suites by Hilton Richmond-Downtown hotel.

Kabana is managed by The LX Group, which also operates Ember Music Hall. The LX Group is owned by Kunal Shah and Neal Patel. They also have part ownership in Juan’s Rooftop and Cantina, Botanya Restaurant and Bar, and Casta’s Rum Bar.

They also owned Nama Indian restaurant at 15 W. Broad St., which closed earlier this year.
