COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Colorado Springs nightclub Club Q hosted a vigil Tuesday, recognizing the two-year mark of a mass shooting that claimed the lives of five and injured and impacted several others.

“It is mine blowing that it has already been two years. It feels like just yesterday,” said Joe Lambert, a community member who attended the vigil.

Two years ago, Club Q was surrounded by red and blue lights as dozens of police and other first responders answered the call of an active shooter. Now, two years later, it’s surrounded by candlelight.

Dozens of people came to the site to honor the five people who lost their lives that day, as well as the countless others whose lives were forever changed.

“If it were not for this community, I would not be here right now,” said Rick Brown, a community member.
