Fatal crash on Trafton Road in Waterville, Maine [Video]

WATERVILLE, Maine — The driver of a black Jeep Renegade died Monday in a single-vehicle crash in Waterville.

It happened around 4:30 a.m. on Trafton Road, near the intersection of West River Road, Waterville police said in a press release.

Officials said it appears the vehicle was traveling west on Trafton Road when it went off the roadway.

The driver was the only person in the vehicle. Officials have not yet publicly released their identity.

The driver’s body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

The crash remains under investigation, and police said more details could be released at a later time.
