Fake Bear Video Footage Used to Scam Car Insurance Company

According to a recent California Department of Insurance report press release, suspects allegedly wore a bear costume to commit insurance fraud amounting to $141,839.

The report identifies local LA residents as suspects in an insurance claim scam for claims made back on January 28, 2024, in the region of Lake Arrowhead where the suspects testified that a bear entered their 2010 Rolls Royce Ghost and caused interior damage to the vehicle.

Suspicion grew as two additional similar insurance claims with two different insurance companies were also filed for bear damage of a 2015 Mercedes G63 AMG and a 2022 Mercedes E350.
