WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) – A total of 208 turkeys and 49 hams were collected during this year’s News Channel 6 annual ham and turkey drive, bringing in a total of 257 donations.
This year’s drive surpassed last year’s efforts, with 47 more turkeys and 29 more hams donated.
Faith Mission of Wichita Falls CEO Steve Sparks credits the success of the event to the generosity of the Wichita Falls community.
After nearly 12 hours of collecting donations of hams, turkeys and other non-perishable food items, the drive was a major success.
Sparks said the food donations will go a long way in helping those in need.
