2024 Festival of Trees ongoing at Blennerhassett Hotel [Video]

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) – The 2024 Festival of Trees has been going on at the Blennerhassett Hotel in downtown Parkersburg since the beginning of November.

This year 61 trees and wreaths were fully decorated and put on display in several locations on the main floor of the hotel, including the lobby, restaurant, library, and the ballroom corridor.

Since 2020, the United Way Alliance of the Mid-Ohio Valley has been in charge of the event. But the event has been ongoing for multiple decades.

Executive Director of the United Way MOV Stacy Decicco said the tradition is important for families.

She said the partnership between the United Way and the Blennerhassett Hotel has grown since the new owners took over the hotel in 2019, and has helped keep the Festival of Trees a lively and exciting event.
