Dorchester District 2 school board finalizes list of goals for 2025 to 2028 [Video]

DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) – The Dorchester School District Two board and superintendent have finalized their list of goals looking forward to years 2025 to 2028.

The goal chart has six main categories which are student growth and achievement, safety and security, community engagement, student growth and planning, staff recruitment and retention, and comprehensive financial planning. It is then broken down into subcategories.

Back in August, DD2 Superintendent, Dr. Shane Robbins, as well as the school board members met to reassess their current goals and pitch ideas for the areas they needed to see improvement in.

Now, Robbins and the board members have narrowed down that list.

Robbins said that these goals are looked at as a multi-layer approach, meaning they start broad at the board level and then become more focused and tailored to the specific needs of the schools, classrooms, and individual students in the district.
