TYLER, Texas — Tyler ISD is celebrating the power of partnerships in both the district and the community by supporting the “educational journey” of students with special needs.
Tyler ISD’s new literacy program was born through a collaboration with Super 1 Foods. Each month, students participate in a literacy session which includes story time and a themed snack craft, which Tyler ISD said fosters essential skills in communication, literacy and motor cycles.
October’s session featured The very Busy Spider by Eric Carle, with spider-inspired treats using Oreos, Twizzlers, icing and candy eyes.
