OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Here are the headlines we’re bringing to you first on Wednesday, Nov. 13:
Nebraska Attorney General Mike Hilgers has filed a lawsuit against a social media influencer that alleges dropshipping and e-commerce scams. Many of these scams reportedly happened during the COVID-19 pandemic, where Elizabeth “Liz” Friesen worked for a company called WiFi Money. According to the lawsuit, at least 60 Nebraskans lost $3 million in savings due to the scams.
We also have an update to a 6 on Your Side Investigation into a South Omaha homeless camp. Law enforcement is now involved in the situation, where some of the homeless are being cited for littering and ordered to clean up their camp. A city councilman called it “one of the worst homeless camps he’s ever seen in Omaha.”
