Local media and social influencers joined together to raise awareness for the dinner that feeds over 25,000 people each holiday season.
SAN ANTONIO — Every year the Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner feeds tens of thousands across San Antonio who wouldn’t normally have a holiday meal. The event is kicked off each year with the Gobble Games, with KENS 5’s own Jeremy Baker participating as always.
This year, the games took place at the Walmart on Thousand Oaks for the annual Gobble Games. It is a media against media competition that brings attention and awareness to the all-important Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving dinner that feeds so many across San Antonio.
Patricia Jimenez, the executive director for the Jimenez dinner told KENS 5, “We want to make sure that nobody who is left without goes without and isn’t left without a meal on Thanksgiving and that there is a place for them.”
