Deadly crash involving MARTA bus, vehicle in Atlanta [Video]

ATLANTA — Atlanta police are investigating a fatal crash involving a MARTA bus and a sedan that occurred Monday evening on Campbellton Road SW at Honeysuckle Lane SW.

The incident happened around 5:15 p.m., according to a report from the Atlanta Police Department. Police said that the driver of a sedan rear-ended a MARTA bus, which had been stopped at a bus stop. Officers said the sedan’s driver was transported to the hospital but later died from their injuries.

Passengers on the MARTA bus were also transported to a local hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening. Officers did not disclose how many people were on the bus during the crash.
