Chef Tobias Dorzon thanks supporters after he was shot in robbery [Video]

HYATTSVILLE, Md. — Famous Prince George’s County chef Tobias Dorzon is recovering after being shot during a robbery last Tuesday night.

Dorzon and his girlfriend were both shot while a group of five people robbed them. Since then, community members and fans of him and his restaurants have responded to reports with an outpouring of support. On Sunday, Dorzon posted this statement to the Instagram pages of both of his restaurants:

“Thank you for the overwhelming love during this challenging time. I’m incredibly grateful to be on the road to recovery, and my heart is full seeing your messages. Though this incident shook us, my team is stronger than ever, and our doors remain open to serve you the food we love creating.
