DOWN GAA have described as an “outstanding volunteer” a club PRO who has tragically died aged 40.
Aisling McGivern passed away on Saturday following a short illness.
A beloved teacher, McGivern was the Head of Home Economics and Head of Year 13 at St Louis’ Grammar School in Kilkeel, Co Down.
She was also an uber popular GAA stalwart, having most recently served as PRO with St Peter‘s Warrenpoint while she was a member of Down GAA’s Public Relations and Marketing Committee.
In an emotional tribute, the county described her as an “outstanding volunteer” who “made a difference to the lives of many”.
