ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. — A juvenile male was injured in a shooting early Saturday morning in Elizabeth City, and a juvenile and adult have been arrested and charged in the crime.
The Elizabeth City Police Department responded to 108 Queen Street for shots fired at 4:09 a.m., according to a city press release. They found the residence had been struck by gunfire, and multiple shell casings were located in the vicinity.
The officers found that a juvenile male had been struck in the leg by gunfire. He was taken to Sentara Albemarle Medical Center and is being treated for injuries not considered life-threatening.
Officers also found and seized two 9mm handguns and one .38 special revolver, the press release stated.
