The Bedford County Planning Commission is holding a public hearing Nov. 12 to consider a special use permit for Zitel, an internet service provider, to operate general office, meeting hall and construction yard uses at the former Body Camp Elementary School facility.
The concept plan for the permit application shows the existing former school with a proposed 44,394-square-foot gravel storage and equipment yard, according to the county department of community development. Additionally, a perimeter chain-link fence is shown along the northern property line and a 20-foot buffer yard is proposed along the east and west property lines to provide security and buffering of the uses from adjoining properties.
