Bangor Health Equity Alliance has license suspended [Video]

BANGOR, Maine (WABI) – Bangor Health Equity Alliance, a social services organization, has had their license suspended.

The organization posted on its Facebook page Wednesday that it would be closing its HEART resource center and syringe services program for a few days to undergo restructuring.

They say their outreach is still providing coordination of care and transportation.

Maine DHHS says the organization informed the Maine CDC of their restructuring.

As a result, the CDC pulled their SSP certifications on Tuesday.

The CDC says they’ll reconsider recertification after December 16th.
