Voters approve wine sales at Nolensville grocery stores [Video]

NOLENSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — There’s plenty that divides voters, but in one Middle Tennessee community, there was one ballot measure that received close to unanimous support.

A lot of Nolensville voters seemed to enjoy wine with dinner. Voters passed a measure allowing the sale of wine in grocery stores by nearly 90 percent.

“Wine and food go together,” President of Tennessee Grocers & Convenience Store Association, Rob Ikard, told News 2 in June.

“Shoppers don’t want to have to go to two different places to buy these two natural complements to each other,” Ikard added.

The stress of stopping at two different stores, one for wine and one for food, will end in Nolensville.
