CLEVELAND (WJW) — The FOX 8 I-Team found Cuyahoga County sheriff’s deputies are doing more than ever before to protect your vote and you on Election Day.
This election follows a tense campaign season. That led to increased voting security. We found voters noticed.

On Tuesday afternoon, we saw a small team of deputies visiting a polling place on Cleveland’s east side, talking to workers and voters.
In the meantime, the Cuyahoga County sheriff showed us a mobile command bus, part of the added security — a unit already fired up in case of a major incident.
“This bus allows us to communicate inter-operably throughout the region with any of our partners, whether it’s a state agency or a local agency. We can maintain communications from here,” Sheriff Harold Pretel said.
