Rideshare companies Lyft and Uber are helping voters cast their ballots on Election Day, Nov. 5, with discounted rides to the polls.
“Every American citizen should be able to exercise their right to vote without worrying about the cost or difficulty of getting to the polls,” said David Risher, Lyft CEO, in a press release obtained by PEOPLE.
Lyft is offering 50% off rides, bikes and scooters going to polling locations nationwide on Tuesday, Nov. 5. The discount (up to $10 off) can be claimed with the code: VOTE24.
