New Orleans Upstairs Lounge stolen memorial plaque arrest [Video]

The New Orleans Police Department has made an arrest in connection with the stolen Upstairs Lounge Memorial plaque. NOPD announced that Dannie Conner was booked in connection with the theft. The plaque was stolen in April from the 600 block of Iberville Street. Surveillance footage showed the suspect rip the plaque off the wall of the building.Conner is facing a theft charge as well as a probation charge, according to online records. NOPD Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick issued the following statement at the time of the theft: “It is with profound disappointment and sadness that I address the community today regarding the theft of the memorial dedicated to the victims of the tragic Upstairs Lounge fire.
